Three Soundsausages and a Johnny Sandwich for four, please

Episode von EARBVDS von EARBVDS · 7. Oktober 2023 · 2 h 33 min

Ladies and Djentelmen! In our third episode, we again talk about many things metal. And music. Is there a difference? Let's see. Come along for a wild (and long) ride, with stops at (Hipster-)Black Metal Boulevard, Sound Sausage Street, Apocalyptic Deathcore Avenue, Metalcore Mainstation, Space Grunge Garage, and even Popmetal Plaza. Inevitably though, we end with a whimsical trip down Memory Lane.

After a rapid fire round, where we give shout-outs to all the superb releases that weren't quite superb enough to make our roster, we review a selection of fairly recent and some not so recent releases, including Johnny Booth - Moments Elsewhere (00:18:54), Better Lovers - God Made Me an Animal (00:31:25), Calligram - Position | Momentum (00:42:18), Humanity’s Last Breath - Ashen (00:55:10), Celestial Sanctuary - Insatiable Thirst for Torment (01:07:12), Polaris - Fatalism (01:19:35), Holding Absence - The Noble Art of Self Destruction (01:33:58), Teenage Wrist - Still Love (01:44:22), Johnny Truant - In the Library of Horrific Events (01:53:45), The Dillinger Escape Plan - Miss Machine (02:03:02), Make them Suffer - Neverbloom (02:10:33), and finally Bring Me The Horizon - Sempiternal (02:17:44).

Another epic journey, then. We even have the audacity to rate all our album picks - with a completely incompatible rating system, naturally.

Disclaimer: We had some audio issues. We hope we could still make for an enjoyable listen. We will make sure we fix this for our next episode.
